Psychotherapy
TAILORED ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT SERVICES FOR INJURY, AGING, AND SPORTS.
Mental strength is not the ability to stay out of the darkness, it’s the ability to sit present in the darkness knowing that the light will shine again
Psychotherapists’ main focus is to help patients and their families cope with the EMOTIONAL aspects of a neurological illness. Many patients report feeling worthless, misunderstood, lonely, and frustrated because of their illness. They may also experience anxiety, difficulty controlling emotions, changes in relationships with family and friends, financial strain, and difficulty adjusting to changes in work, school, or home life. Life can be overwhelming for both the survivor and family members. Psychotherapy aims to improve relationships and decrease feelings of distress by giving you tools that help you feel capable of handling problems on your own in the future.
